All services are generally provided during normal surgery hours.
The practice nurse is available for all routine urine and blood tests, injections (including vaccinations and immunizations), dressings, blood pressure checks, etc.
Chronic Disease Management
Ongoing surveillance and management of all chronic diseases will be during normal surgery hours (Nurse or Doctor). Conditions covered include, Asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Chronic Heart Disease, Stroke, Diabetes, Hypertension (High Blood Pressure), Epilepsy, Thyroid disease and ongoing surveillance and review of patients with Cancer or Mental Health problems. The practice also provides ongoing medication monitoring (eg Warfarin therapy). Where a patient is not fit to attend the surgery the ongoing surveillance will be organized at home. All patients with these conditions will receive reminders when a check-up is due.
Antenatal and postnatal check-ups are available during normal surgery hours.
Family planning options are available at this surgery, please feel free to discuss your requirements with the doctor and an appropriate onward referral can be made.
The practice provides all child health services including development checks and childhood immunizations. The baby clinic is on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 10.00am-11.00am. A new video that shows women what to expect when they attend for cervical screening has been produced by the Public Health Agency. A limited range of minor surgery options are available in the practice. . Other minor surgical procedures are commissioned on our behalf by the Eastern Health & Social Services Board from other service providers in the locality.
We are unable to provide any travel advice or vaccines at this time. If you are travelling abroad we recommend you attend a private travel clinic or look on the NHS website https://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk/home for advice. These clinics can administer any vaccines required.
